How We Work
We identify safety net providers interested in research, then provide tools and training to build infrastructure that lasts.
We are building a network of community health centers called the HONOR Initiative to bridge the gap between research and the populations that will benefit.

HONOR Initiative
A network of reliable, frontline partners
The HONOR Initiative is the unique HEO Research Network of community health centers across the US. The network represents over 100 urban and rural centers, covers over 1M patients, and includes widely diverse patient populations.
We HONOR this relationship by:
- Prioritizing health equity as the overarching goal for understudied populations.
- Ensuring all research activities result in sustainable solutions for the community.
- Focusing locally on enhanced patient care, expanded resources, and a strengthened infrastructure.
Community health centers are a vital part of the healthcare ecosystem
- Community health centers are excellent partners in research when seeking real world evidence to determine effective treatments and therapies in populations that are understudied.
- Collaborative partnerships with local practitioners and populations improve patient experience, provider satisfaction and care giver engagement, resulting in better clinical outcomes.
- They provide quality comprehensive care to over 30 million patients.
- They created more than $63.4 billion in total economic activity.
- They generated 455,000 jobs around the US.
